Stu Melton
is a Stanford graduate who’s quickly risen the New York City private tutoring ranks in the past six years, catering to some of the most elite students in the country. At Stanford University, Stu majored in Symbolic Systems, a multidisciplinary area of study focused on cognitive science and a variety of symbolic representations that are used in areas such as psychology, linguistics, computer science, and philosophy. His concentration of Decision Making & Rationality is concerned with mathematical applications in these areas, such as game theory, behavioral economics, philosophical logic, and prospect theory. Looking to push the term “interdisciplinary” to new limits, Stu completed minors in Creative Writing (fiction) and Mathematics too. His varied academic background has provided him with the experience necessary to attack any problem from a variety of different perspectives. His time in stand up comedy helps him approach the material in a fun and light manner.
